Our ‘WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH 1,000 STICKERS?’ Contest was a huge hit with all you StickerJunkies! We had such a plethora of awesome entries that not only are we awarding our Grand Prize Winner with 1,000 Stickers, we decided to award a First Runner-up with 500 Stickers and three Great Entries with 200 Stickers each! Take a look at the big winners below... |
GRAND PRIZE WINNER (1,000 STICKERS) - Barbara A. Wyatt
OK... I've read all the other contestants entries and they are pretty good BUT mine will win your hearts! A good friend of mine started an Animal Rescue in her home, about a year ago... she took every dog she could squeeze in and begged, borrowed & stole to take care of them and get them good homes! Now she has her 501 Non-Profit and holds fundraisers at least once-a-month. She has the biggest heart and works each & everyday rescuing dogs from the kill shelters & puppy mills! I want to win this contest for her and her "Be Kind To Animals Rescue" organization! She is doing this on her own, along with her mom's help, but they do not have much money so I feel that she deserves these Stickers to help her raise $$$$ to take care of these animals! You can check her Website: bekindtoanimalsrescue.com and then maybe you will understand why I want to win these for her.

FIRST RUNNER UP (500 STICKERS) - Sasha "FireGypsy" Gaulin
I am a professional fire performer and I would take the 1,000 stickers that say " www.FireGypsy.com" "Setting the world on fire one performance at a time" Along with 50 friends, a few cases of beer, and leaving our common sense and sanity at home, we would head to NYC not far from where we live and go crazy! We would sticker street signs, bathroom stalls, toilets, storefronts, every car bumper we walk by, peoples backs, post office mailboxes, telephone poles, parking meters, cop cars, street vendor carts. Then we would stop at several stores and rest stops on the way home and put them on products in grocery stores, gas pumps, porn store mannequins, changing rooms, and everywhere else we could think of. We would then all head to the bar where we will stick them on all the people drinking and choose one luck friend to completely cover and take pictures of. All the leftover stickers I will give out at my performances and festivals I perform at. And believe me, if I actually win this contest, I WILL be doing everything I just said I would. This is not just a story, this is a goal. And if by chance we end up in jail, you can bet that our jail cells will be covered as well. =) |

GREAT ENTRY #2 (200 STICKERS) - David Owen
As a 7th grade science teacher I would create a sticker that said "Work Hard and Good Things Will Happen". This is a saying that I use in my classroom and also in my coaching. I say it so many times that the kids all know it and can recite it on cue. If I won a 1,000 stickers I would print that saying and give every single kid in the district one, they would be everywhere!!! We just built a brand new K-12 complex and I could personally hand deliver these to every classroom. Not to mention the advertising for StickerJunkie with your label at the bottom of every sticker and every kid from ages 5-18 wanting to make their own...I know that was a shameless plug for you but it's true!! |
GREAT ENTRY #3 (200 STICKERS) - Lon Beale 'Dr.Dune'
We are Sand Master Park, the world's first sandboard park. We have been going to Egypt for a number of years now promoting and teaching sandboarding. In particular we go deep into the Sahara desert to a huge oasis called Siwa. This is the historic location that Alexander the great was crowned king of Egypt and the location of Cleopatra's pool. Siwa is an ancient bedouin community isolated from the rest of Egypt and like stepping back in time thousands of years. The children do not beg but barter with tourist for the foods and crafts they sell. We have given them balloons and candy in the past which they are excited to receive but now with the sport of sandboarding growing quickly on their dunes we started handing out stickers and t-shirts. They are thrilled with stickers since they have not seen them before. We want to give them 'Sandboard Siwa' stickers or 'Siwa Sand Surfing' as we know the look on their faces when they get anything sandboarding but to have a sticker with their home named on it would be well.. over the top! What do you think people? Can you spread a little sticker joy to a town of very poor but tourist heavy bedouin children?
